You got a fix it ticket from the police. Read the ticket, which will have the information on it as to jurisdiction and where you are supposed to appear. Go to that court clerk, and show them you now have insurance on the car. They will note it and tell you what to do next. It may be that will end it, and you won’t have to appear.
